Application:

Atmosphere controlled, liquid heat treatment furnaces are excellent for Hardening, Tempering, Quenching, Normalizing, Annealing, etc., of H.S.S. Cutting tools, HC, HVR, die-punches, slitting cutters, E. N. Series Steels, mill rolls, ball bearing, auto, railway and aircraft parts an alloy steels. These furnaces are free from scaling, pitting and de-carburizing. This furnace can also be utilized for pre-heating, case hardening and forging.

Transformer:

This furnace is fitted with its own separate heavy duty oil cooled step-down double copper wound transformer manufactured with high grade silicon stamping sheets provided with suitable steps for heat adjustment, fitted in rigid steel body with cooling fins mounted on four wheels with attractive colour.
Refractory:

A refractory pot made up of high alumina bricks is provided for neutral salt bath operating upto 1300oC, for the hardening of alloy steel components. For tempering, quenching, case hardenning, nitriding a heavy duty M.S. Steel pot in oval shape is provided. The steel frame work will support the bath and the bath and the bath is surrounded by graded layers of insulating material to limit the surface temperature in within the permissible limits.

Electrodes:

The immersed electrodes made up of mild steel, the replacement of which is easy and economical. Electrodes are also connected to the secondary of the step-down transformer by heavy copper bus bars. Two adjustable auxiliary electrodes are also provided for  the main for starting the bath which have to be removed during working. The main electrode if required can also be water cooled.

Control Panel:

A separate control panel consisting of electronic, digital, indicating and automatic temperature controller with suitable thermocouple and compensating lead is provided, comprising of the following:

  • Voltmeter (1)

  • Ammeter (3)

  • Air break contractor

  • Phase indicator (6)

  • Compensating lead

  • On-Off switch.


Sucking of Fumes:

A fume extraction duct connected to a motorized blower to remove the fumes from bath surface ocean be provided on extra cost. Ducting from the Blower to the outer of the building will be at customer's arrangement.

Melting & Casting: Highly useful for melting non-ferrous metals like copper-brass aluminium zinc, lead and silver etc.
