Hardening Salt Bath Furnace

Application
Atmosphere controlled, liquid, electrode salt bath furnaces are excellent for the hardening of alloy steel, HSS, die steel & other steel components having any size. These furnaces are highly used in advanced countries & 4-6 times faster production then other furnaces. These furnaces are free from scaling, pitting & decarburizing.

Furnace Transformer
This furnace is fitted with its own separate heavy duty oil cooled step down double copper wound transformer manufactured with high grade silicon stamping sheets provided with suitable steps for heat adjustment, fitted in rigid steel body with cooling fins mounted on four wheels with attractive color. (Without transformer oil.)

Refractory
A refractory pot made up of high alumina bricks are provided for neutral salt bath operating upto 1600oC, for the hardening of steel components. It is also excellent for the hardening of crucial Dies  & Punches. The steel framework will support the bath & the bath is surrounded by graded layers of insulating materials to limit the surface temp. Within the permissible limits.

Electrodes
The immersed electrodes made up of mild steel. The replacement of which is easy & economical. Electrodes are also connected to the secondary of the transformer by heavy copper bus bars. Two adjustable auxiliary electrodes are also provided for clamping the main for starting the bath, which have to be removed during working. The main electrode if required can also be water cooled.

Control Panel
A Separate control panel will be provided along with the Super Air heating Plant fitted with Electronic Digital Automatic Temperature Controller, Indicator actuated by suitable thermocouple for desired temperature range. The panel is incorporated with the following instruments

• Voltmeter - A.E. make: 1 No.
• Amp. Meter - A.E. make: 3 Nos.
• Phase Indicators: 6 Nos.
• Air Breaker Contactor-Siemens, Crompton, L&T     
• Compensating lead                
• On-Off switch
